July 16, 2001

Much progress has been made since the last set of pictures. Upstairs, the sheetrock, painting and trim work has been done. Carpet was laid upstairs on Saturday July 14th and furniture was placed there on the 15th. On the 16th carpet was laid on the stairs.

A lot of the upstairs bathroom has been done - floor tile in, toilet set, glass block of the shower enclosure set in place.

On July 15 - 16 and 17, remodeling work was started on the downstairs two bedrooms. All plaster, lath and insulation was removed on those three days. The rooms were stripped to the frame work and the dividing wall was removed. Next the floor will be stripped to the joist - new subfloor will be layed in - walls will be furred out - the ceiling will be lowered to meet the same height of the new work - new insulation, wiring and windows will be installed.

Don removing ceiling and insulation in the old bedrooms.

Philip Currier helps load the old lath and plaster on the dump truck - through the front bedroom window.

Philip W. Currier and Richie have some pizza for lunch in the new dining room. Kitchen appliances have been installed and the countertop has been ordered.

Mid-afternoon planning.

Taking five. A hot job.

Dust, plaster, splinters and high humidity!

Carpet was installed in the stair well.

The upstairs bathroom is coming together. Glass block shower enclosure, tile and toilet in place.

Interior of the shower needs to be tiled and the shower door installed. The vanity is in place and ready to be hooked up.
